The Octopus Ultra includes Mares' Twin Power system and is made from lightweight techno polymer. It's designed for use with the Ultra regulator (SKU: MRSUA82X and MRSUA82XD). Featuring Mares' vortex assist design (V.A.D.) system, it creates a swirling vortex of air with a low-pressure area for easy breathing at all depths. The system has a 77% increased flow cross-section and double curvature for smoother flow and optimized performance.

For the first time in a Mares second stage, a flow control (Twin Power) system adjusts gas delivery from natural to power breathing via a rotating adjustment sleeve. The compact exhaust tee reduces exhalation resistance. A soft hypoallergenic silicone mouthpiece minimizes jaw fatigue, while the wide pivoting purge button ensures easy access. The Superflex hose, high visibility yellow, is a 3/8" threaded high-flow design, 39.4" (100 cm) long. The regulator weighs 12 oz (344g) with hose.
